Mr. Ransom, I have wondered what our GDP might look like without deficit spending by the federal government. If the feds have spent roughly one trillion dollars a year above tax collections for four years, that is one trillion a year in stimulus spending. Without that spending I suspect we would be in a depression, as our circumstances merit. With that spending, Obama has cover to deflect calls to reduce the size and scope of government, as that spending is propping up the financial sector. Notice how they recently blamed negative growth in the 4th quarter on reduced military spending, even though overall federal spending increased during that period? Jackals, all.
