We are lambasting Rubio for his naievete. He genuinely means well for the 11 million illegal here, whose true numbers are probably closer to 20 million, but without proper border enforcement the positive aspects of this bill will only incentivize another 20 million to enter the country. Amnesty in 1986, with insufficient border control has lead us to where we are now. If Rubio is sincere in his desire to enforce the border then why not offer up that portion of the legislation singularly and work to ensure its success, then we can have the discussion about those who lurk "in the shadows." also, why is everyone so sure that most illegals are so eager to come out of the shadows and start paying fines and taxes?
