The Baltimore COP did not respond to the question Senator Cruz posed to him. He went to talking points and use of strawman arguments to deflect his lack of answer. Baltimore has Johns Hopkins, one of the most well known and respected hospitals in the world, but Baltimore has a murder rate that is almost 4 times that of Houston. The city of Houston, versus the suburban areas around it, has many hell hole sections that are absolutely unsafe to traverse at night, just like NYC, Chicago and Baltimore. Yet, the murder rate in Houston is significantly lower.
All four cities have criminals, but in Texas, the idea that victims are more likely to be able to defend themselves.
