How about Christopher Boise who recently defended himself with an AR15?
The same argument they make that AR15's are so extremely lethal and only to deal death, is the same argument why they are best needed for defensive purposes.
The other way to look at it is this. If an intruder has an AR15, and our leadership has determined that AR15's are the most lethal small arms on the planet, shouldn't I, defending my family, have a weapon of equal efficiency and lethality? If a Remington 870 Express shotgun is just as effective as an AR15 at killing, then why aren't they wanting to ban those as well? Especially since shotguns kill more people than rifles each year (per FBI 2011 statistics)!
Why is no one making this counter-argument?
