Illegal immigration was a manageable item until a judge subverted the 14th Amendment to extend birthright citizenship to the offspring of illegals and extended elegibility for our welfare hammock to them also.. When I was young, we visited the farm of an uncle who hired migrant workers every year. At the start of the season they showed up, worked until fall, then went on their way until the next spring. I have no idea whether or not they were legal, but just enough to do the work showed up and they caused little if any trouble. Ever since we've been subsidizing Mexico's poor, they have been the number one export from that country.
