' "We aren't doing a very good job at registering 18-year-olds," said Mindy Romano, director of the California Civic Engagement Project. ' 'We' don't register voters. Voters register themselves. But how exciting that CA has a 'Civic Engagement Project for Romano to be a director of. Taxes really do make miracles, 'They need someone or something to "walk them through the system," ' she tells us. Anyone who needs to be walked through the system is simply not ready to vote. But maybe Romano is serious about helping these pitiful young people who can't figure out how to sign up to vote. They may also need their hands held while picking a political party and filling out a ballot. And Romano will be right there with them all the way.
