It's obvious that the democrats assume that we have seen our last Republican president. It's equally obvious that the democrats in the Senate anticipate a permanent majority, as witness Reid's recent efforts to mess with the filibuster. They figure that the fix is in, that they have a permanent voting majority, a permanent dependent underclass that will vote for the party who promises them their "fair shot" and their "fair share" of the nation's productivity and the government's largess.
