Who cares? I do all of my shopping at Wal-Mart now. I am fortunate enough to have a Super Wal-Mart in my area that sells grocery in addition to general merchandise. In my state, grocery stores are among the most heavily unionized retailers and the unions fought tooth and nail to keep Wal-Mart out of the grocery business here and lost. It's not just Wal-Mart's house brands that undercut the supermarkets, but the name brand items are also cheaper. I'd rather shop there than anywhere else. Any business that can't adapt to having a Wal-Mart nearby ought to fail. In the natural world we call it survival of the fittest and Wal-Mart happens to be more fit than most other businesses. Deal with it.
