Well, we already spent $150K of "stimulus" money to study shrimp running on treadmills. In the video I saw of that groundbreaking study, I didn't see any bubbles coming out of the shrimp's butt, so maybe they don't pass gas either.
However, what if your wrong, and it turns out that the scientific consesus is that ringworms to pass gas? What if the perfect climate models we have show that the gas they emit will raise the Earth's temperature by .00000001 degree by the year 6035?
You're obviously just a selfish conservative if you don't want to invest in such a meaningful study, in order to prevent...
