The violent crime rate in the UK is the highest in Europe, and higher than in the US, even according to their own government. Therefore, if you deduct the number of murders merely reported but not convicted in the US from the number we currently use for stats, that means that the UK is far, far more violent than we are. They must be proud. I remember watching the arguments in Parliament when they wanted to ban guns; two voices of reason asked what would they do about the 100,000 guns coming into the UK illegally each year. They were shouted down and then the question was ignored. Evidently most of the intelligent Brits were killed off in the two world wars.
