One other point. Not in a million years could we all come together on what socail conservative ideals we all believe in. There will, understandably, be differences in our social conservatism. So which social conservatism do we use? Yours? Mine? Its better simply to have freedom. A government shouldn't be involved in enforcing a particular brand of social conservatism on the people. On the other hand, if we are not fiscally conservative, our nation will cease to exist. Plain and simple. If we don't balance our budgets eventually it will all collapse. I believe there is a greater imperative to be fiscally conservative and leave the people to be free to live their own conservatism.
