Muslims want their countries ruled by Sharia law, and for the exact same reasons as Dennis Prager wants social conservatism (i.e. religious conservatism) to prevail here in the U.S. The arguments are that the countries were built on these traditions, and that society is better off living under the traditions (even if not everyone in society agrees with the traditions), without these rules society crumbles, and that they go beyond mere tradition and are word of God/Allah. Just replace your religious beliefs with someone else's and you might see why some of us reject the entire concept of social/religious conservatism.
