I agree. And, I am reminded of D. Prager's trinity of American values which are Judaeo-Christian values of Liberty, In God we Trust and From many one. (Sorry for misspelling) We all - Conservatives included - have to take another look at these values. I am more and more conservative but I have to be coherent in my living them by being more accepting and forgiving of everyone, which does not mean failing to point out a lack of clarity, ignorance, evil or being misguided. Prager offers great insights on "The Brilliance of the Bible." You do't have to be Christian or Jewish to appreciate these insights. A premise of his is that it is still an outstanding book - similar to an instruction manual - on how to live a full life.
