1st - please point me, where in the Bible, you find that 'redistribution of a man's wealth' or 'giving taxpayer's money to the slothful' is a sin. I think you might have your "conservatism" elevated to the point of "faith" and seem to be confusing it with Christianity.
2nd - Half of what you claim as sin, above, is in no way, shape or form sin. But you want to know what IS mentioned as sinful in the Bible? - Pride; Self-Righteousness; Idolatry....you know, like placing your political viewpoints in a position of more importance than your faith in God?....what about hyocrisy?
You're right about only one thing in your post......sin is never a settled issue.
Seems most of us spend our time caring for the splinter in our neighbor's eye.....
