A doctrine that by its very nature & the way it's packaged leads directly to vast increases in the size & scope of government, far higher taxes, energy rationing, more redistribution & micromanagement, & making the UN the government of the world, is going to get touted & defended by the elite regardless of facts. When they claim to have a science based theory, and instead of talking about the PROOF of that theory they blather about nebulous meaningless "scientific consensus" enforced by a cabal of well-placed activists heading all the institutions who can force the others to drink the kool-aid or else hit the road, your BS meter ought to be pegged at max.
