People in prison pay no taxes, hold down no jobs, and parent no children. They are removed from society at a cost to society. I'd rather see all drugs legalized and available over the counter with no prescription required. Take the DEA and turn it into a drug treatment organization for those that want treatment or are determined to be so adversely affected by drug use that treatment is required to bring them back to productivity.
