Look, as tempting as it is to make the comparison between high end weapons and high end cars, its not a good one. Namely because a high end car has an express design purpose that isn't killing people. Yeah cars kill people, and lots of them. They are inherently dangerous hence why to drive you you have to receive a license from the state and register the vehicle. No intelligent person wants to ban assault weapons because they look scary. Any action on assault weapons (for the record I don't support any bans, merely dialogue discussing these weapons) is because they are dangerous weapons whose express purpose is to kill people as efficiently possible. For whatever reason you own it, that's what an assault weapon is for. That is what it is
