You're confusing "right" with "religious." Almost all the mainstream churches are quite liberal. The religious left and statist policians are pushing AGW in order to increase their political power. Almost all climate scientists pushing AGW are on the government payroll. The "solutions" they propose invariably begin with (surprise!) increasing government power. We're still waiting to hear their "scientific" explanations of exactly how the taxing and regulatory schemes they propose are supposed to alter the energy output of the Sun or variations in the earth's orbit.
