Everybody knows that during the cold war, our US and the Soviets each had nuclear arsenals ensuring mutual destruction on both sides in the event of atomic war. If only one side had been armed with nukes; the other would have been defenseless; easy pickings. That is what an armed populace is given by our 2nd amendment to the Constitution. The US government is aware of a legal, constitutional deterrent in place, limiting its power over a free people. It's not our power to destroy unjust leaders; but rather the way we disabuse them from impulses to end our liberty.
