What is considered sin evolves. Wasn't all that long ago that slavery was considered perfectly acceptable by many devoutly religious people, same with segregation. Leviticus lists things as sin that no one would ever consider sinful today, and haven't for centuries. It IS about who is a good person and who is a bad one. The whole point is to label some people "bad'--it makes the labeller feel powerful and righteous. Moreover, if the behavior is bad for the individual that's not really for anyone else to be concerned with and it is a point over which there is legitimate disagreement. And if gay sex and relationships are so bad for society, then why are they so tolerated? Hicks should put her activism where her mouth is..
