Wrong. For many atheists, because their lives are not consumed with worshiping a mythical god and worring about getting into heaven and avoiding hell, everything matters. An atheist knows it is absurd to think that he can lead an evil, immoral life, then, on his deathbed, accept Jesus as his savior and thereby gain admittance to heaven. The atheist knows that everything in the here and now matters more because this is the only chance we get to live. Morality existed long before man invented religion, otherwise mankind would never have survived. The Bible is hardly a reliable source of moral conduct when it condones slavery and genocide.
