Are current corn prices high because of global warming? Ransom doesn’t think so “…you’d think the current trend of high corn prices are the result of global warming, not the real culprit: mismanagement of monetary policy by Obama and the central banks which has had an inflationary affect (sic) on many commodities including corn, oil, gold and silver. He ignores the fact that the 2012 corn crop was the lowest since 1995-96 and that probably had much more to do with the price fluctuation.
