My wife and I married 33 years ago. She was 20 years my senior and had come from a family business back ground and was an entrepreneur. My financial life was a shambles and I was pretty wild. Over time, I realized the financial responsibility imbalance in the relationship and set about correcting it. For the last decade, I have been managing the household, paying the taxes, and earning at least half of the income. I can see that if I had been more of a "man," earlier, focused on a traditional relationship and career, we might have more money, today. But, we own our house and property, outright, have a little savings, and, other than my college loan, we have no debt. All thanks to a merciful God.
