ACT college admissions tests include English, math, reading and science. Only 25% of applicants were proficient in all 4 subjects ... only 40% in 2 subjects. High schools do a terrible job preparing students who want to go to college. In 2007, a college graduate could expect to earn $1.7 million more than a high school graduate. That is sufficient incentive. Taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize their education. newsandopinions dot net
