You could be right, but how often has a third-party option ever really fared well? I'm not a Libertarian, but they've done a lot of good at getting a lot of conservative values pushed into the public agenda, especially in the last five years. Really, conservatives have a few problems.
First, we can't decide on our common agenda for ourselves. This results in a lot of infighting.
Second, we seldom field candidates who can fight Alinskyite tactics. Either we get corrupt moderates, or we get people of good character who can't fight against dirty tactics.
Third, like Alfonzo Rachel says, we are constantly losing the popular culture war. The internet has, however, allowed us to make a lot of inroads in taking back the press.
