Ronald Reagan, for all his wonderful quips and his spoken words, tripled our national debt in eight years. Great for those wealthy enough to have money left over from minimal living expenses to invest in the stock market as the investing class cleaned up for about 6 years straight. People seemed to think it was magic. It was not. His administration blew my social security on his constituents, while letting the investing class off the hook with an 85% tax cut for the wealthiest while he raided the poor man's retirement fund to buy military hardware. Jimmy Carter, (also a globalist), overtaxed the wealthy while wasting money on an elaborate welfare system. Both were destructive and wrong-headed in their thinking. We will never recover.
