Medicare and Social Security are paid for by employees through payroll taxes. If you get the people out of both of these programs, that either never worked or did not work enough, then both of these programs would be in good shape. Why should anyone get Social Security if they have not paid into it? Why should anyone get Medicare just because they reach the age of 65? If you have never worked or worked very little then you have not paid into these programs and should not receive any benefits. And, by the way, how about the real entitlement programs such as Welfare, Medicaid, AFDC, Food Stamps, and the Earned Income Tax Credit. Should these programs not be cut drastically?
