There in is the problem. It was Romney who was the establishment candidate. Gingrich was always at odds with the media. This endeared him to those republicans who want to buck the establishment ways........like Romney represented. Gingrich could have unified the disparate groups but Romney drove away "red meat" conservatives. It's kind of like when John McCain made his nomination acceptance speech years ago.....many in attendance bood him. It made my heart glad. Why? Because he was a RINO always caving to the democrats. I hated that mother f***ker and stayed home back then too.
