I would think one thing 'paleoconservatives' ought to agree on would be that, all things being equal, the right thing to do would be very close to what the Founding Fathers did. In 1787, blasphemy and sodomy were Common Law crimes, punishable by death. Without much in the way of historical evidence to guide them, they somehow understood that religious belief was the foundation of every society. And they were not slow to act to prevent any attack on their Christian religion. We practice toleration, and we are surrendering to the infidels. Infidels always prove to be bad -- you can look it up.
