I once held a neighborhood party and the guests were invited to bring a copy of their family tree or generation family group sheets. We laid them out on picnic tables for everyone to study. I found a second and third cousin and folks who had lived next to my grandparents. Every person there found at least one connection. We all went home realizing how interconnected the human family is and the neighborhood became an even more caring place to live. In the past 25 years most of us have remodeled instead of moving and when a new family moves in out come the family history sheets. Tracing our family history and sharing it is one way to overcome the hate and distrust in our world. And I'm looking for an ancestor named Bialosky.
