Conservatives were right to reject Plan B. There's a deeper moral issue in play here. Boehner's Plan B assents to the morally pernicious tenets of class warfare - namely, that a tyranny of the majority should punish a targeted minority for some imaginary sin. For a type specimen example, study Nazi treatment of Jews in the Third Reich. And always remember, as H. L. Mencken so trenchantly observed, "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard." It's time for an object lesson in higher taxes.
