People obsess over a lot of things - shopping, eating, drinking, sex, football, the list goes on and on. Just because you have never played a video game and don't understand the attraction of spending time in a fantasy world doesn't mean it is harmful or should be stopped. Should we stop people from doing everything they obsess over, or just those things YOU (and this columnist) don't approve of? It isn't the game, anymore than it's the gun. It is the person. Some people are evil. Take away the video games, the evil person will still commit evil acts. Take away the gun, the evil person will commit evil acts. Blaming video games is absurd.
