My mother taught me, and my kindergarten teacher reinforced the learning that I should not take what is not mine; I should not harm others; I should be truthful. That these simple rules also parallel the Commandments does not undermine the Constitution. Nor do they dispose me to being some form of religious fanatic. They are simply a part of what used to be a civilized society's mores. That they derive from God does not make them improper. Those who delude themselves into believing that the founders did not prepare our founding documents with very careful guidance from the Bible are products of the public education system who lack the ability to reason for themselves.
