Seeing how South Africa ended up with a black president who denied that AIDS is a threat and is seeing its most productive citizens emigrate every which way, and Nelson Mandela was a close friend of the Soviet Bloc, I'm not so sure that RWR was wrong. That South Africa's Apartheid regime collapsed only after the Soviet Union was in terminal decline is, to me, evidence that God was indeed blessing South Africa. Because of such a turn of events, Mandela didn't have a chance to impose the sort of extreme Kleptocracy that other Soviet clients in Africa were able to get away with .
