Obama says, “We may never know all the reasons why this tragedy happened … We know this is a complex issue … there's no law or set of laws that can prevent every senseless act of violence in our society … this problem is complex.”
But then he says, “members of my cabinet and outside organizations [are] to come up with a set of concrete proposals no later than January, proposals that I then intend to push without delay.”
If the problem is so complex, why give his task force only six weeks to come up with proposals? And which “outside organizations” will participate?
