It shouldn't be a left right issue. They got countries all over the world with different politics with lower gun murders than us. The important thing is to protect people. You do that by making it difficult to acquire an automatic weapon. There will always be nutheads and people who can build a gun and make their own bullets but there will be less mayhem, fewer successful suicides and fewer gun accidents. The idea we can stave off a foreign invasion with handguns is pure lunacy.
