It's not about fear. It's about being prepared. If I feel there's a reasonable chance of encountering violence, I avoid it. I don't go looking for it. I carry everywhere I go because I never know when some low life criminal will try and harm me or my family. Violent attacks happen in places where one would expect to "feel safe". As should be evidenced by recent events. And I will not be caught unprepared. I have a ire extinguisher in my home, am I paranoid or fearful of there being a fire, or am I just being prepared for the worst case scenario?? And as to your absurd assertion that "worry=fear=being a coward" - everyone has fear, everyone gets scared. It's called being human. It's not cowardly to be fearful or scared.
