It is an interesting paradox. As those that proliferate such violent content refuse to show any self restraint regarding what they are willing to promote we create a natural response that "someone" must censor them, because they won't. We also seem to have descended to the point where a large market exists for the consumption of such material. We also realize that this type of material only needs to impact those prone to be affected by such for similar tragedies to occur. It seems that when the moral fabric is pulled from a society such that there is little self restraint, it is inevitable that it will recur to government authority to fill that role. If we want to be a better society we must be a better people.
