How many times will Boehner offer a compromise to Obama and have it completely rejected, out of hand without even a counter-offer being given before he realizes that Obama is playing him for a chump, does NOT want a compromise and WANTS to go over the fiscal cliff? I honestly think the Republicans should pass Bowles-Simpson. Let Obama reject that and we would at least be able to point out that it was put together by someone on Obama's team. It would also force Obama to *reject* tax cuts. And I believe it would give Republicans some good press for once and make the public realize that Obama is being the instransigent stubborn mule here, *not* the Republicans.
