In the year 2011-2012, gun crime FELL by 19%. In fact, it's more than 30% less now than in 2003. Here's the real data on the UK's gun crime for last decade: http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=0CEUQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.parliament.uk%2Fbriefing-papers%2Fsn01940.pdf&ei=4V7PUK-0GKvY0QWu8oDoBA&usg=AFQjCNGH6atVDylpEjVwNHfABXpLQLKybg&bvm=bv.1355325884,d.d2k From this I'll point out a few facts Ms Pavlich missed out: Gun crime has overall declined since the UK introduced a blanket ban on most firearms. This is not the only reason gun crime has declined, but it's a factor. Gun crime statistics in the UK included imitation and BB guns, which constitute more than half the offenses listed.
