Interesting that so many comments do not seem to relate to the article. I have thought my opinion was due that I am so old (91 in February), but I think our general society has declined in decency and good behavior. Our leaders in government, in business and, yes, in the church don't seem to have the same idea about what is proper. Now with some it seems that is "anything goes" just as long as you don't get caught. And getting caught in bad behavior (lying, stealing, mugging and other harmful) does not provoke the social stigma that it used to. Adultery, out of wedlock births, divorce, abandonment, and other formerly frowned on behaviors, now seem to be quite acceptable to say nothing of the attitude of those who do not work for a living.
