Health insurance is the problem, not the solution. You say middle class Americans "pay for health care," but that is blatantly false. When is the last time you made more than a nominal co-pay payment to your doctor? The vast majority of middle class Americans buy health insurance policies and the insurance companies pay their medical bills at prices negotiated by the insurance company. Any time you have a third party paying fora benefit, that benefit will be overused and overpriced. If middle class Americans actually had to pay for their own medical care (as you claim) rather than buying an insurance policy, the cost of healthcare would drop dramatically.
