I would like you to write an article explaining how and why we so easily use tax "rates" as a comparison on how fair taxes are to different income groups. While some "'rich' people do pay les % of their income than do others ... they still pay a much larger portion in real $. Sometimes more than a lifetime of taxes of others.
In my opinion the best way to compare is to say how much you are paying in taxes over a lifetime to how much services you receive from the government. That will tell you who really is paying their "fair" share.
