For one, they arrange to set things up through thier donations to politicians so that they get bailed out multiple times by the American taxpayer with the complicity of both parties. They also push mass immigration (although it's more the Chamber of Commerce than the banks) which pushes down wages on low education workers and even college grads through the H-1B visas. Income disparity was shrinking since a few years after the 1920's when immigration was shut off until the 1970's when the flood gates opened back up with the Immigration Act of 1965 and income disparity has been shooting up.
