This is a classic case of manipulating statistics. I have $1 and you have $2. We both buy a candy bar for $.60. Which of us pays a higher percentage of our income on sales taxes? Yet, we pay exactly the same rate.
That top earner pays the same rate you pay for SS, Medicare and Medicaid. Why not simply remove the top limits? If a person earns a million dollars a year, ninety percent of that income is exempt from "social taxes." Your argument is based upon bewitched, juggled numbers and not meaningful logic.
