We repubs hate to admit it, but Saunders is spot on -- the dems ran a better ground game, especially in the battleground states. In Ohio, for example, they had thousands of grass roots volunteers who started knocking on doors more than two years ago. I saw one of their campaign managers on TV right after the election who bragged that they LITERALLY KNOCKED ON EVERY DOOR in Ohio, not just once, but several times leading up to the election.... and each door-knocker gave a short memorized speech to the resident and handed the resident a card with a phone number to call if they needed a ride to the polls. This was all followed up with phone calls, emails, facebook, etc. It was a winning strategy whether we like it or not.
