We can't agree on false assumptions that you make. You claim the wars weren't paid for yet the deficit declinined every year after the tax cut was instituted. You assume a tax increase will bring revenue increases runs contrary to the past. Just look at NJ, NY, CA, and England to see that tax increases cause revenues to decline. You also talk about all the R spending, that many of us don't like, but ignore how that spending has exploded under D control. Once more all we have to do is look at the states that are doing well and the states that are in trouble to see what policies work best. It is clear that R policies work far better than D policies and I think even more restraint on spending with a simpler tax code is the better answer
