"A vast majority of Americans (83%) believes the budget deficit and national debt should be the top priorities for elected officials in Washington, followed by the status of Social Security and Medicare (82%) and the availability of good-paying jobs (79%)." Americans are not saying that they want the borrowing and spending to continue. They are saying the debt and deficit are top problems. Bringing the budget to balance fixes the deficit -- a fact that most people, who balance check books, can understand. Republicans capitulate; Obama demands more. It will only end when the Republican Party is smashed or it finally chooses to make a stand. http://tinyurl.com/bxga5ns
