This is SOP for the Obama administration, and it comes right out of Alinksy.
Saul Alinksy points out that consistency is NOT a virtue. Keep passing new versions of a story to the press until the next newsworthy event pushes the entire matter out of the public eye. By that time, nobody will know the truth, and very few people will care.
