I made plenty of money, paid plenty in taxes. It's about time everybody else does. My peers were sole proprietor businesses, partnerships, Chatper S corp. types. We were all in the $200,000, $300,000 yearly earned income and capital gains range. At the club, they'd all talk and laugh about how much they "expensed," off the business income, hid rental income. I never had the guts, just paid whatever the CPA said I owed. It was never too much. I've always been ashamed of those guys. Funny, they all got out of serving in our military, too -- they had hid in college.. I did not. I had to serve. "Just sayin'," as they say. Maybe I'm dumb, but I'm still here, with a clear conscience, and no fear of a knock at the door. How nice.
